Fond du Lac, WI
Race the Lake
Race the Lake is a bike race around Lake Winnebago.
Race starts at 0600 and ends at about 1400.
Volunteer amateur radio operators are needed!
Start time for amateur radio operators will be staggered and usually take no more than four hours per location, with exception of lead and sag vehicles and Net Control operators.
Race will include Fond du lac, Winnebago, and Calumet County roads. In the past, support has been provided by Outagamie, Sheboygan, and Manitowoc counties and the support will be needed again this year.
If Interested In Volunteering, Contact Stan K9STN
Fox Cities Marathon
The Fox Cities Marathon is on Sunday, September 22.
Volunteer Amateur radio operators that can ride bicycles with radios to track the race participants through parks and trails where the Sag cannot follow the participants are Needed!
Early operators are needed from 0630 and the last operators will close out around 1400.
Staggered start and end times for most operators with less than four hours of operating, except for the NCS and SAG operators.
Any amateur radio operators that can assist with being bicycle riders with radios to track the final participants in three locations is appreciated. Our bike operators will only be covering a 2 or 3 mile stretch in locations through parks and trails where the SAG cannot follow the final participants.
If you are interested, please contact Stan K9STN
