Waupaca County Skywarn Net Script

This is _________ net control for the Waupaca County Amateur Radio Emergency Services net. 

A Skywarn net is now being called at ______ local time.

This is a directed net and all communications will be at the direction of the net control station. Only stations with legitimate severe weather reports or emergency traffic should break into the net. Guidelines outlining legitimate severe weather reports will follow.

The current weather situation is (brief outline of current weather situation).

Is there any emergency or priority traffic at this time?

We will now stand by for Waupaca County ARES stations and all trained spotters, please state whether you are fixed or mobile, call _________ net control.

At this time log in all reporting stations as fixed or mobile. Also the NCS may want to assign any liaison stations for NOAA weather or out of county nets.

 You may also want to remind all check-ins to check out with the NCS if they leave the net for any reason at any time before the net is secured.

Attention all stations: This is _________ net control for the Waupaca County Amateur
Radio Emergency Services net. A Skywarn net is now in progress, only stations reporting severe weather events or emergency traffic should break into this net.
 
Reportable severe weather events are as follows:
Tornados on the ground, Funnel clouds aloft or rotating wall clouds, Any meaningful size hail reports, Excessively high winds, Flooding or other actual storm damage if requested by NOAA weather, Rainfall reports are no longer needed unless they are asked for by NOAA weather

On a regular basis (at least every 10 minutes or so) ask for check-ins and repeat the
reportable weather events during the entire net operation.

To secure the Skywarn net:
Attention all stations: This is _________ net control for the Waupaca County Amateur Radio Emergency Services net. At this time we will be securing the Skywarn net, On behalf of NOAA weather and myself I would like to thank you all for participating. This net is secure at ______ local time and this repeater is being turned back to normal
amateur use. 73’s everyone and thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated.
